SAIC NURSERY

SAIC nursery is located in Umm Salal Ali, just 15 km away from Doha with the splendor of a modern production facility. The arid climate of Qatar requires specialized plants with great production standards and quality. One of the principal characteristics of SAIC work is the innovative technology with respect to natural plants production. For more than 22 years the passion of SAIC work in the field of Seasonal flower and outdoor plants production is an instrument of its developing  Qatar’s Soft landscaping.

Seasonal Flowers

SAIC has a modern greenhouses production areas for seasonal flowers and bedding plants production. The greenhouses are equipped with computer controlled cooling system growing benches. It supports the mass production of healthy young plants throughout the year irrespective of outside climate conditions. SAIC germination rooms are state of the art facility in Qatar. It enables to break the seed dormancy and gets higher seed germination percentage. The production unit’s equipped with modern machinery such as Mixing Drum, Tray filler, Seed sowing line and transplanting Unit. These total advance technologies are supporting SAIC to produce healthy and uniform young plants continuously.

SAIC is expanding the production area every year due to increasing demand for perfect use of seasonal flowers and bedding plants in expanding Qatar landscaping area. SAIC is producing nearly 40 different types of winter flowering plants and more than 10 summer seasonal flowers. In winter flowers such as Petunia, Marigold, Salvia and Geranium are popular, while in the summer flowers such as Vinca, Portulaca, Zinnia and Celosia are favorites.

Introduction of New flowering plants

SAIC has introduced lots of new kind of flowering plants and its different varieties to Qatar over the years. Introduction of Petunia, Geranium, Vinca, and unique flowering types of Marigold and Ageratum are notable. All these flowers are grown in flower beds and boxes very successfully in SAIC Nursery.

Outdoor plants Nursery

SAIC grows a variety of outdoor landscaping plants such as ground covers, shrubs, trees, climbers and creepers, cactuses and succulents, and tissue culture palm trees which are suitable for the arid climate. Nursery plants are produced under the shaded net houses. Ground cover plants are produced on the bench system and the rest of the plants are grown in big pots. Production of Qatar Local Native plants is one of the main principles of SAIC production.
In addition to local plants production, imported outdoor plants from the same climate condition of Qatar are also available. Research and development of different outdoor plants various are under progress in SAIC farm. Testing and evaluation of suitable plants variety for arid landscape has been undertaken by SAIC from foreign agencies. SAIC is very mindful of the impact of its production on the environment. Wherever possible SAIC promotes the use of endemic plants, ecological friendly Agriculture inputs for production and water-saving solutions.

Indoor Plants

SAIC professional indoor plants division supply and maintain tropical plants for the corporate customers. These special plants are usually imported from Europe and South East Asia owing to their quality and the high specialized climate requirement to grow. Offering a fully integrated indoor plants management system criteria approved by the clients. In addition to the garden accessories such a varies plants containers, peat moss, perlite and other inputs are imported directly from the supply source to provide the complete package to the client.
